Territory to be discovered

A whole host of itineraries lead to the most diverse of places along the coast: lagoon shores and country lanes that delve into a environment characterised by silence, the green of the fields, the blue of the water; suggestive panoramic views over the lagoon and its islands; long, safe cycle and foot paths that criss-cross the entire area; a network of canals allowing one to explore this corner of paradise in an original and different way.

A piece of advice and an invitation: let yourself go to the pleasant fatigue of exploring it all by bike or rowing boat. It is an emotion that you will not forget.

Venice, the city of dreams within arm’s reach

A fascinating forty-minute crossing takes one from Punta Sabbioni to Venice. This unique city, with her unparalleled layout, millenary history and huge artistic and cultural heritage, is just next-door. Walking across St. Mark’s Square, getting lost in the labyrinth of alleyways, crossing bridges, visiting the countless churches and art galleries, are an added value for Cavallino-Treporti’ visitors.

The surroundings – from the northern lagoon to the lush inland area

In addition to the Punta Sabbioni terminal that guarantees easy access to Venice, the area is also served by the important landing stage at Treporti (Ricevitoria), the starting point for services to the famous islands of the northern lagoon. After a short, yet suggestive crossing, one reaches Burano, with its characteristic multi-coloured houses famous for its lace, then on to Torcello, the cradle of Veneto civilisation, with its splendid basilica and lastly Murano, world-famous for its precious glass.
By car or using the bus service, cross the bridge over the Sile, to dive into the nightlife of Jesolo Lido, or visit the cities of artistic interest, Padua and Treviso, or even venture as far as the enchanting city centres that make Veneto one of Italy’s most beautiful regions.
