This is in a universe where colours of the circus are painted by Chagall and Picasso that the characters of this strange and hanging fair place are going to move about.
Four characters in a surprising set, will pull the spectators to find again in their unconscious forgotten sensations from childhood, to savour suddenly the taste of all their « petites madeleines», not really like a memory but as a present impression. A sort of game of memories. What is the favourite game of the children?
To be frightened, to feel shivers in the spinal column, those little poussées d’adrénaline which are in fact always well calculated not to go to far: walking on a wall or on the side of the pavement as if it was a cliff… looking for someone knowing where he is hidden, and then he will come out suddenly like a devil from his box. Screaming and laughing of happiness.
This game is not only played by children but also by adults. For this matter, they have invented fairs with merries-go-round which go very high over the crowd or put your head the wrong way, throw you in vertiginous slopes, staying meanwhile certain that this will have a happy end.
But we do not need always tricks sometime imagination is enough. Do you remember the instant which is situated at the limit of the sleep and the dream, when your mind is liberated of the weight of your body and become light ?
THE COMPANY
“Cirque Rasposo” is based in Burgundy, in the East of France.
This award winning company was founded 20 years ago.
We create and perform shows throughout France and also abroad.
The shows contain a mix of theatrical and circus arts.
Our current production, which was created in 2005, is called “Parfums d’Est”.
Cirque Rasposo present actually two shows “Cirque en Fil” and “Parfums d’Est”.
